Variety of modalities utilized including:
  • Japanese contact needling by Teishin - non-inserted topical placement used with techniques of sedation, tonification, or even methods applied.   (no acupuncture needles inserted, completely painless)
  • Moxibustion - heat therapy with AiYe, or Mugwort root.
  • Tuina - a Chinese therapeutic massage technique for an injured area.
  • Medical QiGong - Certified in the energy medicine technique of Medical Qigong, similar to Reiki, but based on Chinese medicine principles.
  • Chinese and Western herbal recommendations, Herb/Drug Interactions, Cautions, Contraindications.

To Book online or telephone appointments, please choose the relevant link below.  In-person sessions must be scheduled by text message only, as very careful Covid precautions are still being observed to protect the health of clients with autoimmune, COPD, or other at-risk conditions.
New Client Visit - $250 - Online
Online new client visits go into detailed health history, full intake of chief complaints, assessment of the ten questions in diagnostic Chinese medicine, tongue diagnosis and Chinese medicine pattern diagnosis.  These visits include tailored health recommendations in the relevant modalities including: acupressure with specific point prescription and location information, moxibustion (and training), herbal recommendations, guided meditation, and lifestyle guidance.  For new clients.  Up to 1.5 hours duration.
Follow-Up Visit - $150 - Online
Online follow-up client visits assess the previous treatment plan and progress, response to herbal or lifestyle recommendations and tailor new point prescriptions and herbal recommendations accordingly.  If you are an existing client, please choose this option. Up to 1 hour duration.
I Ching Reading - $95 - Online
Do you have a burning question or uncertainty in your life?  Targeted I Ching readings based on the ancient Chinese divination method provided.  This session includes: helping you to frame your question to ask the I Ching, pulling and writing the I Ching hexagram(s), and a reading of the hexagram(s) obtained.  Assistance in helping you to interpret for yourself will be provided as time permits. 1/2 hour duration.
Teaching you how to Pull I Ching - $150 - Online
Do you want to learn how to perform I Ching divination for yourself?  This training session will help you learn how to formulate appropriate questions, pull and draw the hexagram lines, locate the correct hexagram, and interpret changing lines.  Several translations will be recommended based on the style you like best. For example, one version is more psychological, one is esoteric, one is medical, another is based on the guidance of proper sage conduct for a happy, balanced life.  Up to 1 hour duration.

How to Moxa Stomach 36 - Acupoint
Performing moxibustion on Stomach 36 (ST 36) acupoint is one of the single best self-care strategies available in Chinese medicine.  For more details and research links, please see: http://www.innovationstowellness.com/blog

Applying moxibustion to the acupoint St 36 reduces inflammatory cytokines, interleukin 1β, interleukin 6, and improves quality-of-life measures (like debilitating fatigue) that are correlated with chronic fatigue, chronic pain, and Long Covid.  Reducing innate and adaptive cytokines, monocytes, macrophages, regulating immune system, increasing white blood cell production and blood flow, movement, and oxygenation,  one study even showed that applying moxa on ST 36 helped to reduce inflammatory and interleukin response in the hippocampus in the brain.  Other studies on rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis demonstrated a marked decline in joint pain after applying moxa to ST 36.

How to Moxa Kidney 3 - Acupoint
Performing moxibustion on Kidney 3 (Kid 3 - Tai Xi - Great Ravine) acupoint is an excellent self-care strategy.  Can strengthen your system and enhance longevity.  Tonifies all four aspects of the kidney: Kidney Qi, Yin, Yang, and Essence.  Indications for Kid 3 include: low-back pain, fatigue, weakness, lethargy, depression, tinnitus (usually low-pitched, high pitched is often liver channel), cough, wheezing, insomnia, impotence, frequent urination, calms fearfulness, calms fight/flight response.  Addresses energy levels and destiny.  Also a good point to strengthen the energy that goes to the bones.

Together Ren 4 (Origin Gate) and 6 (Sea of Qi) help to regulate Yin and Yang, tonify all four aspects of the kidney: Kidney Qi, Yin, Yang, and Essence (Jing), as well as strengthening Source Qi (Original Qi).  Indications for Ren 4 and 6 include depression, all kinds of abdominal issues, women's and men's health concerns, prolapse,  and bowel disharmony (diarrhea or constipation).
